Though Brookview is filled with a wide array of volunteers who make the church run:
Pastor Jason, Jen Huguenin, and Gabe Ortega are the paid staff who work together to oversee all ministry and operations.
THE HUGUENINS
Jason & Jen have been married for 28 years and have three children, Kate (26), Cameron (25), and Brooklyn (18). In the fall of 2002, Jason & Jen, and their then two children Katelyn and Cameron (toddlers at the time) moved from Bellingham, WA to start Brookview, which met at Lynnwood High School for 12+ years.
THE ORTEGAS
Gabe came on staff at Brookview in August, 2025. He is passionate about helping people know, follow, and enjoy Jesus. At 18, he moved from Seattle to Sydney, Australia, to study theology—and it was there he met his wife, Bri. He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Theology. Gabe and Bri have been married for six years and live in the Seattle area with their 10-month-old son, Isaiah.
The church began with three other couples in the Lynnwood area meeting in a living room and began public church services at the old Lynnwood High School, across from the Alderwood Mall, in the fall of 2003. In 2009, we moved along with the school to the new Lynnwood High School on the North Rd, and in 2015 we found our permanent home on Brier Road that we had the opportunity to purchase in January, 2020.
